Melville Robert Armstrong, Jr.

Melville Robert Armstrong, Jr., (86) of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

 He was born in 1932 to Melville R. Armstrong, Sr. and Ethel Nora Kidwell Washington, DC.  Melville attended High School in Washingotn, DC and then went on to work as a delivery man for Thompson Dairy.  Melville then went to work as a school bus mechanic for Montgomery County Public Schools.  

 Melville was a member of 1st Alliance Church in Silver Spring, MD and also Spencerville Free Methodist Church.

 He is predeceased by his wife of over 67 years, Eva Nell Armstrong.  Melville is survived by his children; Kenneth Armstrong and Steven Armstrong (and his wife Doreen). A brother Leroy Armstrong and his grandson Kyle Armstrong.  Melville was predeceased by his wife, a son, Michael and a sister Barbara Lowery.

 Visitation will be on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the Chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 beginning at 12:30 PM and continuing until the time of the service at 1:30 PM.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Burtonsville, MD.
