Pearl L. (Jenkins) Foster

Pearl L Foster, 97 passed away in Cheverly, MD on October 17, 2020. 

 Born July 6, 1923 in Berwyn, MD, Daughter of Lawrence Jenkins and Alice Kirby. Pearl lived and worked in Laurel, MD most of her life, residing in Oakcrest since the 1970s. Pearl was a lifelong seamstress, working at Snyder’s cleaners for many years and TRS dry cleaners for over 20 years until retiring in the early 2000’s. Pearl was a devoted mother and grandmother, her greatest joys were her family, her dogs and maintaining her lawn and garden around her home when she was not performing her seamstress skills. 

 Pearl is survived by her daughter Alice “Rose” Kidwell, sons Earl Foster, Robert Foster and Lawrence Foster, several grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren and her sister Alice. 

Pearl was preceded in death by her sons Stuart Foster and William Foster, along with her siblings, Telly, Margaret, Rubie, of which was her twin, Minnie, Dorothy, Wigley, and Melvin. 

Visitation will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbot Ave Laurel MD 20707 on Friday, October 23 at 11am. Services will immediately follow. The family will gather after services at Laurel Elks Lodge 2283 located at 8261 Brock Bridge Rd Laurel, Md 20724. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pearls name to the Laurel Elks Lodge 2283.
